Web Marketing Intern
Objective:
To provide post college-level interns with the opportunity to learn about Internet marketing in the travel business by actively participating in the marketing of TIG Global's hotels. Through an intensive semester-long program, interns will be exposed to a variety of business processes and general marketing tactics utilized to promote travel over the Internet.
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of Internet and ability to use search engines
- Basic Excel spreadsheet skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and enthusiastic
- Strong work ethic and eager to learn the fundamentals of the online hotel marketing business
Specifically students will learn about:
- Travel industry and online opportunities therein
- Advanced Internet marketing techniques
- Internet Media: research and execution of online media placements and advertising deals
- Client services: delivery of service and reporting to large customer base
- Technology: various tools utilized by start up business
Course:
Month 1-2: Heavy emphasis on research and media opportunities across geographic segments of the Internet; Exposure to customized software utilized to manage advertising campaigns
Month 2-3: Emphasis on advertising deal evaluation and execution; Client services, reporting results to hotel clients
